Program Director, Marketing and Communications

This position is instrumental in overseeing and executing marketing and communications strategies to achieve and grow programming and funding goals.  The role is pivotal in shaping Hope & Help's narrative, amplifying our impact, and building a strong brand presence that aligns with our mission and values. 

The purpose of this position is to lead the development and implementation of organizational marketing, communications and public relations strategies, playing a pivotal role in shaping the organization's voice, expanding its reach, and amplifying its mission across various platforms.  Working closely with senior leadership, this role ensures organizational marketing and communications align with strategic goals, and enhances the organization's visibility, impact and engagement. 

Key accountabilities include, but are not limited to, strategy development, brand management, media relations, digital and content strategy, public relations and crisis communications, marketing campaign development, team leadership and mentoring, community partnerships, stakeholder engagement, event promotion and ongoing program evaluation. 

A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations or a related field is required.  A relevant master’s degree is preferred. 

A minimum of ten years of experience in marketing, communications or public relations with at least five years in a senior leadership role and in a non-profit or mission-driven organization required.  Experience in a healthcare or clinical setting is highly preferred.

 •  Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

 •  Media relations and external partnership cultivation

 •  Brand storytelling and effective content creation

 •  Digital marketing expertise, including social media, email marketing and SEO/SEM strategies

 •  Strategic leadership and team development skills including managing cross-functional teams

 •  Strong project management skills, certification preferred 

•   Spanish fluency highly preferred 

•   Experience managing, segmenting and growing constituents at scale

 •  Data-driven analytics and ROI-focused market research strategy 

•   Strong interpersonal skills, socially oriented toward problem-solving and community-building

 •  Highly developed organizational skills with keen attention to detail and effective task prioritization

 •  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and marketing technology platforms

 •  Event planning, targeted promotion and market campaign execution strategies

 •  Business development and fundraising campaigns
