Summary

The Manager of Advancement & Engagement plays a pivotal role in driving RMHCCF’s annual giving strategy, cultivating and sustaining relationships with individual donors to ensure consistent philanthropic support for the families we serve. This position is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive annual giving program that includes donor acquisition, retention, and upgrades through personalized stewardship, strategic solicitation, and impactful donor experiences.

Reporting to the Director of Advancement & Engagement, the Manager oversees a portfolio of annual donors, coordinates targeted engagement initiatives, and supports campaigns and events that inspire recurring contributions. This role also collaborates across departments to align messaging and outreach efforts, ensuring that annual giving remains a central pillar of RMHCCF’s fundraising and community engagement strategy.

Essential Job Functions

Donor & Partner Relationship Management - Annual Giving Focus

  • Manage annual donors portfolio and partners, ensuring consistent stewardship, recognition, and engagement to inspire renewed and increased annual support.
  • Lead annual renewal efforts by implementing personalized outreach strategies, creative engagement opportunities, and partnership activations that align with RMHCCF’s mission.
  • Identify and cultivate new annual giving prospects—including individuals, companies, and civic organizations—through strategic research, outreach, and community networking.
  • Conduct donor and partner meetings to present RMHCCF’s mission, annual funding priorities, and opportunities for sustained impact.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of donor interactions, proposals, and commitments in the CRM to support annual giving tracking and reporting.
  • Collaborate with Advancement and Marketing teams to deliver stewardship plans, impact reports, and recognition experiences that reinforce annual donor value.

Proposal & Campaign Development

  • Partner with the Director of Advancement & Engagement to develop customized proposals and presentations that support annual giving renewals and upgrades.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of annual fundraising campaigns—including Giving Tuesday, year-end appeals, and seasonal initiatives—designed to drive recurring contributions.
  • Collaborate across departments to align annual giving opportunities with programmatic needs and strategic priorities.

Database & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of annual donor activity, ensuring all touchpoints, pledges, and payments are tracked and acknowledged in a timely manner.
  • Monitor solicitation pipelines and donor retention metrics to inform annual giving strategy and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Support the Advancement team in generating reports that evaluate annual giving performance and guide future engagement efforts.

Team Collaboration & Internal Engagement

  • Actively participate in Advancement team meetings and organization-wide initiatives that support annual giving goals.
  • Assist in planning and executing donor events and volunteer opportunities that deepen annual donor connection to RMHCCF’s mission.
  • Support the implementation of systems and procedures that enhance the annual donor experience and improve operational efficiency.

Ancillary Job Functions

  • Will be asked to support community fundraising events and RMHCCF special events at off-site locations.

Education and Experience – An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, sales, or nonprofit engagement.
  • Proven success in managing donor relationships and meeting fundraising or sales goals.
  • Experience with CRM systems; knowledge of Raiser’s Edge NXT, Salesforce or similar platforms preferred.
  • Familiarity with direct mail, annual giving campaigns, or corporate sponsorships a plus
  • Valid Florida driver’s license and operable vehicle.

  • Possess strong office skills and knowledge of general office equipment
  • Excellent calendar management skills
  • Strong proficiency of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Collaborative spirit and ability to work effectively across teams.

Work Environment – Environmental or atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.
