
Executive Director
The mission of the Winter Garden Art Association (WGAA) is to encourage individual creativity and artistic expression, to promote community involvement and cooperation, and to advance the appreciation, education, and availability of visual and cultural arts in the City of Winter Garden and the surrounding areas.
WGAA is seeking an Executive Director to oversee the day-to-day operations and ensure the financial sustainability of the organization. The ideal candidate will manage finances, staff, fundraising efforts, and gallery logistics while balancing commercial and educational goals to support WGAA’s growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Strategy
- Collaborate with the Board to implement WGAA’s strategic plan.
- Ensure organizational activities align with WGAA’s mission and vision.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, sponsors, and volunteers.
- Oversee the Artistic Director’s work, ensuring alignment with operational goals.
- Financial Management & Fundraising
- Develop and execute fundraising strategies, including grant writing and corporate and individual giving.
- Manage WGAA’s budget and financial resources.
- Explore new revenue streams for future growth.
- Operational Oversight
- Oversee gallery operations, facility management, and logistics.
- Implement systems for exhibition submissions, fees, commissions, and sales.
- Manage digital platforms for communication with board, staff, and members.
- Ensure compliance with nonprofit regulations to maintain the organization's legal and ethical standing.
- Staff & Volunteer Management
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff and volunteers.
- Attend executive and board meetings to ensure operational efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
- Community Partnerships
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, schools, and nonprofits.
- Increase public awareness of WGAA through outreach and partnerships.
- Support the creation of promotional materials for events.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Proven experience in nonprofit management and fundraising.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to community engagement and operational excellence.
Salary Range: $60,000-$80,000
