Position Summary: Work with ELEVATE Orlando organization to build long-term, life-changing relationships with urban youth, equipping them to thrive and contribute to their community.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Pay: Starting salary is $45K plus benefits

Responsibilities:

• Teaching: Teach and manage the classroom professionally in accordance with Elevate Orlando standards and training.
• Administration: Keeps records as necessary. The administration is accurate, consistently turned in on time, and contains minimal errors.
• Attendance: Participates are attentive, and present on time to meetings, classes, and activities.
• Bonding: Establish and build mentoring relationships with students in caseload to produce positive life-change in urban youth.
• Modeling: Serve as a positive role model and leader for Elevate Orlando students. Demonstrate Elevate Orlando's ethics, character qualities, and behaviors.
• Flexibility: Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned. Professionally represent Elevate Orlando in site visits and community functions.

Essential Job Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree with experience teaching or mentoring High School or Middle School students.
• Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in youth service. Certifications or education in youth service preferred.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License and Proof of Insurance.

• Ability to connect with urban youth. Urban youth experience preferred.
• Mastery of communication skills including written, verbal, and presentation.

• Personal relationship skills allowing employees to manage and work with a wide variety of people, professionals, students.

• Ability to manage a variety of projects and goals along with personal and team responsibilities.
• Software skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
