Director of Special Events
The Director of Special Events is responsible for coordination of the UCP agency fundraising special events and other agency events logistics and works alongside VP of Development in donor solicitation and cultivation/engagement.
Coordinate all logistical elements of the agency’s fundraising special events and agency staff recognition/retention and professional learning events. This includes, but is not limited to, creation of the time line/task list/plan, food and beverages, table set up, silent and live auctions, committee support, mailings, follow up, venue coordination, production elements, onsite coordination, etc.
In partnership with the VP of Development and CEO, solicit fundraising event sponsorships to achieve budgeted revenue goals.
Provide leadership to all auction solicitations to achieve budgeted revenue goals.
Work with VP of Development to cultivate on-going community partnerships & potential donors.
Organize and lead collaboration with the Marketing Team on special event concepts, graphic design/production/printing, external communication, and event marketing (including social media/website).
Track event budget including monitoring budget, creating check requests/invoices, and reporting.
Produce accurate reports to be utilized for database/mailing/programs, etc.
Ensure that the donor database is maintained for all event donations (including sponsorships/in-kind donations, table sales etc.) and thank you/acknowledgement are completed timely and accurately.
Assist in creating content for social media and UCP website related to development/fundraising and donor recognition activities.
Participate as a member of the Core Leadership Team.
Update Monthly Development KPI Report
Assist with the creation and implementation of the Annual Development Plan
