Position Summary:
The Sharing Center (TSC) is seeking a Director of Philanthropy, a visionary, results-driven fundraising leader responsible for growing and stewarding a robust portfolio of donors while leading a high-performing team. This senior-level position plays a pivotal role in supporting The Sharing Center’s mission through individual, corporate, foundation, faith-based, and government funding, with a particular emphasis on capital campaign leadership and major gifts strategy.
The Director of Philanthropy will work closely with the President & CEO, Board of Directors, and Development Department to execute a multi-year philanthropic vision aligned with our strategic priorities. This includes oversight of capital fundraising, donor engagement, and branding efforts to position TSC as a leader in compassionate care and community impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Capital Campaign Leadership & Major Giving Strategy
· Lead all aspects of capital campaign planning, execution, and stewardship, including case development, donor identification, solicitation strategies, and donor recognition.
· Manage a portfolio of 400+ mid- to major-level donors and prospects, implementing moves management and cultivating transformative gifts ranging from $1,000 to $1 million+.
· Partner with executive leadership and board members to support strategic donor engagement and gift conversations, including planned giving.
Team Leadership & Strategic Development
· Supervise and develop a high-impact team, including a Development Officer, an Events Coordinator, a Marketing Specialist, and a Development Assistant.
· Create and monitor the Development Department’s strategic plan, budget, and performance metrics.
· Foster a culture of philanthropy across the organization and serve as a key thought partner to the CEO and COO on revenue growth and innovation.
Donor Engagement & Communications
· Oversee donor communications and storytelling initiatives, including the Annual Impact Report, stewardship materials, and planned giving collateral.
· Lead donor cultivation and recognition events (e.g., Helping Hands Tours, donor receptions, and faith partner events).
· Ensure excellence in donor data tracking and management via CRM platforms (Bloomerang or Salesforce preferred).
Board & Committee Engagement
· Collaborate with the Development Committee and Board of Directors to drive philanthropic strategy and engagement.
· Present fundraising progress, trends, and recommendations regularly to leadership and board committees.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., communications, nonprofit management, or business) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Minimum 5–7 years of experience in nonprofit development with proven success in capital campaigns, major gifts, and donor relations.
· Demonstrated strategic thinking and results-oriented approach to fundraising, with a strong ability to align philanthropic efforts to organizational goals.
· Experience managing a high-performing team and cultivating a collaborative, goal-driven environment.
· Knowledge and experience with CRM systems (Bloomerang or Salesforce strongly preferred).
· Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including donor pitches, board presentations, and donor communications.
· Highly organized with strong project management skills, budget oversight, and analytical reporting experience.
· CFRE credential is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range: $100,000–$110,000 annually.

Work Environment & Requirements:
· This is a full-time, in-person position located in Longwood, FL.
· Occasional evening and weekend work required.
· Must be able to sit or stand for long periods and lift up to 15 lbs.
· Walking across the campus between program areas is required.
