The Director of Marketing and Communications will lead the creation, development, and implementation of strategic branding and public awareness campaigns. Specific assignments will include the planning and execution of programs to attract new supporters and generate financial growth. This full-time position is in Orlando, Florida and reports directly to the President and CEO.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Strategies: Collaborate with the Marketing Committee to strategize, develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communications strategies that align with WYC goals and objectives.


  • Content Creation: Develop and oversee engaging content for internal and external audiences, including social media, website, email newsletters, e-blasts, and print materials.


  • Digital Marketing: Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns across various platforms, such as social media, SEO and email marketing. Monitor campaign performance and optimize strategies to increase reach and drive brand awareness.


  • Brand Management: Ensure consistency in brand messaging and visuals across all marketing channels.


  • Public Relations: Cultivate relationships with media outlets, influencers, and other partners to generate positive publicity for WYC.  Write press releases and manage media inquiries.


  • Analytics: Monitor key performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing efforts and recommend adjustments as needed.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, or related field.
  • Minimum of four years’ experience in agency, professional, or nonprofit marketing and communications.
  • Self-starter with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, graphic design and production in video and print.
  • Experience with web analytics and SEO best practices.


Salary:  $100,000
