Development Manager

Central Florida Vocal Arts seeks a part-time Development Manager.  This individual would be responsible for overseeing and implementing fundraising strategies, cultivating corporate support, managing donor relations, assisting in grant acquisition and management, and collaborating with upper level staff and board to meet fundraising goals. This position will work closely with the Executive Director and will be a department of one, until organizational growth makes additional staffing strategic and viable.

Key Responsibilities:

Fundraising Leadership

Implement fundraising strategy;, lead staff and board in campaign efforts, and update strategy, as needed

Collaborate with staff and board to host successful fundraising events to meet annual fundraising goals

Identify innovative fundraising opportunities aligned with CFVA budget needs and outlined goals


Corporate Stewardship

Prepare corporate sponsorship materials, steward current sponsors, and actively seek new funders

Lead advertisement sales and strategy for both season and individual productions

Develop and maintain corporate and foundation relationships


Donor Relations

Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing donors

Identify new donor pipelines and develop strategies for solicitation

Implement donor recognition and benefits programs


Grant Writing & Management

Research and identify grant opportunities

Collaborate with leadership to write and submit ongoing and new proposals.Manage grant reporting and ensure compliance with grant requirements in collaboration with staff


Constituent Relationship Management

Maintain accurate donor records in CRM (Little Green Light)

Track and analyze fundraising metrics and prepare reports for senior staff and board of directors

Update dashboard materials and provide ongoing updates to board members on their individual fundraising success allowing them to independently access relevant data points


Qualifications:

Experience

Proven experience in corporate fundraising, event management, and individual donor relations

Success in grant writing and grant management

Experience working with CRM systems in a nonprofit setting


Education

A bachelor’s degree or higher in Nonprofit Management, Arts Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field

Preference toward candidates who have engaged in ongoing education in the field of fundraising / development

They will comfortably engage with the public as a visible and vocal representative of the organization and work with senior staff, board and volunteers to ensure the organization has the funds to sustain and grow its mission impact. They will  also possess the following skill sets:


Strong communication, project management, and organizational skills

Independently and intrinsically motivated to successfully work in a nontraditional setting

Ability to manage multiple projects at once and to establish priorities when dealing with multiple deadlines

Proficiency in fundraising software and CRM systems, Google Drive Suite, Canva, Microsoft Office

Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team

Compensation & Work Load:

Approximately 20 hours weekly

Paid $27.50 / hour
