The Opportunity:

The Assistant Director of Athletics Annual Giving plays a vital role in advancing the philanthropic efforts of UCF Athletics by growing mid-level giving, increasing donor participation, and strengthening engagement. This position is responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding leadership-level annual gifts, with a focus on expanding the donor pipeline and fostering meaningful relationships with alumni and supporters.

Responsibilities:

Donor Cultivation & Solicitation:

  • Manage and retain a portfolio of at least 100 leadership annual giving donors and prospects.
  • Conduct face-to-face visits to build relationships and increase philanthropic support for UCF Athletics.
  • Identify over 500 new prospects annually through strategic discovery efforts.

Engagement & Stewardship:

  • Develop and execute tailored stewardship strategies to enhance donor loyalty and affinity.
  • Oversee discovery, cultivation, and stewardship events to foster engagement and deepen donor connections.

Program & Event Management:

  • Lead events and initiatives that support pipeline development for leadership-level annual giving.
  • Provide direct support for Knights Hospitality during premium game-day operations for football, basketball, and baseball.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Manage ChargeOn Fund graduate assistants and part-time student employees, ensuring effective training and professional development.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Nonprofit or fundraising experience, preferably in a higher education setting.
  • Experience in leadership annual giving or mid-level giving programs.
  • Familiarity with fundraising databases and donor management software.
  • Proven success in identifying, cultivating, and securing gifts.
  • Event planning and strategic donor engagement experience.

The most successful candidates may possess the following qualities:

  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong ability to build personal relationships with donors and prospects.
  • Ability to work game-day events, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Special Instructions to the Applicants:

The anticipated range for a qualified candidate is $56,030 - $68,637. Advancement and Partnerships values the unique contributions that each team member brings to our division. The determination of a successful candidate's starting salary will vary based on several factors, including education and relevant experience. The anticipated pay scale indicated for this position generally applies to candidates who meet the minimum requirements and several of the preferred qualifications outlined above.
