Location: MHACF Offices Administration Offices and the Outlook Clinic

Reports to: Vice President of Operations

About the MHACF: Established in 1946, the Mental Health Association of Central Florida, Inc. (MHACF.org) is one of the oldest nonprofits in Central Florida and is the leading community-based nonprofit dedicated to addressing the needs of those living with mental illness and promoting the overall mental health of all. This mission is supported by the Association's commitment to promote mental health as a critical part of overall wellness, including prevention services for all; early identification and intervention for those at risk; integrated care, services, and supports for those who need them; with recovery as the goal. Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health and substance use recovery, with proven ability to guide individuals through person-centered support services. Responsibilities include coordinating recovery programs, facilitating peer support groups, mentoring peer specialists, and building community partnerships. Certification as a Certified Recovery Peer Support Specialist (CRPSS) is required, and additional certifications in Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) and Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) are highly preferred.


Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite.

Effective communicator with strong written and oral skills. A collaborative attitude and the prowess to provide

constructive feedback.

Demonstrate a high degree of organization and time management skills with strong attention to details and

   ability to positively manage and motivate people.

Must have insight into the community mental health system of care through professional or personal experience.

Must be enthusiastic for the mission of the Mental Health Association of Central Florida and the clients we serve.

 

Position Summary: The Reflections Program Coordinator will be responsible for scheduling, facilitating, and documenting/reporting on regular peer recovery support groups and workshops. They will be required to facilitate small in-person groups in person as well as virtually. Outreach activities including networking and community events are key to the success of this position.  The ideal candidate is compassionate, outgoing, organized, and proactive. Preferably they also have prior experience in peer-to-peer support or workshop facilitation.

Responsibilities Include:

 Oversee and mentor peer specialists to ensure effective delivery of recovery support services

 Facilitate peer-led support groups that foster connection, empowerment, and resilience

 Recruit and oversee facilitators for support groups and trainings

 Ensure compassionate, person-centered care across all recovery programs and services

 Coordinate recovery initiatives and strengthen community partnerships to expand support networks

 Maintain compliance with program standards, grant requirements, and documentation obligations

 Generate and manage the Reflections program budget, including invoicing for contract billing

 Schedule and coordinate community trainings (e.g., Introduction to WRAP) and facilitate recovery/wellness workshops

 Provide services and support to individuals with substance use disorders, including peer-to-peer sessions and supportive counseling for individuals, families, and groups

 Conduct educational sessions and community outreach to promote recovery and wellness

 Organize annual events to engage the community and highlight the importance of wellness

 Respond to funding and grant opportunities on behalf of the organization

 Promote the organization’s mission through social media, community events, and health fairs

 Attend mental health trainings, webinars, and community meetings as needed to stay current and connected

 Maintain data collection, reporting, and training fidelity documentation

 Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities, including evening/weekend scheduling
