Center for Independent Living in Central Florida Inc. is seeking a dynamic Independent Living/Community Specialist to provide independent living skills training, assistive technology demonstrations and training, and community outreach to individuals who are Deaf.

This individual must be fully fluent in American Sign Language (ASL.)

This role is a multi-functional one, requiring excellent interpersonal and communication skills, working knowledge of social programs and community-based services, excellent research and outreach skills, experience in meeting program goals and deliverables, as well as experience in supporting people who are Deaf in achieving their self-determined goals. Individuals with proven experience in providing life skills training, teaching, and coaching of individuals with disabilities preferred.

The hours of employment will generally be Monday through Friday and candidates must have reliable transportation.

Candidate must pass a drug test and Level 2 background screening.
