Position Overview: 

The Development Assistant provides support to the Development Department in pursuit of fundraising goals by maintaining donor data, researching grant opportunities, assisting with grant reports, and supporting donor stewardship. This role requires organization, collaboration with internal and external partners, good communication skills, and a desire to learn and grow. 


Primary Job Functions 

  • Data entry 

  • Running regular data reports 

  • Updating, correcting, and organizing data in donor database.   

  • Assisting with stewardship and donor communications through the process of thank you emails/letters/receipts 

  • Coordinating grant record keeping in donor database.  

  • Coordinating volunteers for various events  

  • Support Grants Admin in researching grant opportunities  

  • Support Grants Admin with data collection for grants reporting 

  • Assisting with event execution 

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Good decision-making skills. 

  • Experience with a database (Salesforce, Blackbaud, Neon, etc.) is a plus 

  • Bilingual is a plus. 

  • Past nonprofit experience is a plus

Structure  

  • This is a full-time, in-person role.  

  • Schedule will include 40 hours a week with some evening and weekend work required occasionally.
