Learn how to create a clear, compelling Case for Support that explains your organization’s purpose, the community need you address, the impact of your work, and the resources required to sustain it. This workshop will help you build a strong foundation for fundraising and stakeholder engagement.

Learning Objectives:

  • Explain what a Case for Support is, why it matters, and how it strengthens fundraising efforts.
  • Identify key stakeholders who rely on a strong Case for Support.
  • Analyze examples of Cases for Support in different formats to understand best practices.
  • Outline and begin drafting a Case for Support tailored to their organization’s mission and audience.
  • Develop action steps to complete, refine, and effectively use their Case for Support within their organization.

Cost: Free for nonprofits serving Osceola County, $70 Members, $140 Non-Members

Instructor: Tracy Vanderneck

Tracy Vanderneck, MSM, CFRE, is the President of Phil-Com where she works with nonprofit organizations around the globe to help them improve board governance and achieve strategic success in fundraising. Tracy has more than twenty-five years of experience in fundraising, nonprofit leadership, and business development. She has worked on leadership teams for organizations with budgets from $1 million to $15 million, in fundraising, public relations, and volunteer recruitment. Tracy holds a Master of Science in Management (MSM) with a concentration in Nonprofit Leadership, a Graduate Certificate in Teaching & Learning (CTL), and is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE). She is an Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Master Trainer, earned a Diversity & Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from University of South Florida, and earned a Certificate of Nonprofit Board Consulting from BoardSource. Vanderneck has been published in Nonprofit Pro, AP Perspectives, and Stanford Social Innovation Review (SSIR). Tracy’s articles have been used as course content and reference materials by NYU's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, Columbia University School of Professional Studies, and the Graduate College of Marshall University. In 2024, Vanderneck authored the book The 60-Minute Guide to Building the Infrastructure for Successful Nonprofit Fundraising.
