Description
The Impact Equation is a practical, hands-on workshop designed to help nonprofit professionals move beyond outputs and start measuring what really matters. Participants will learn how to capture the real results of their work, use that information to strengthen programs, and communicate impact in ways that inspire both funders and their community.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Differentiate between outputs and outcomes and apply strategies to effectively measure and assess the impact of their programs.
- Use collected data to inform decision-making, strengthen programs, and improve organizational effectiveness.
- Communicate outcomes in a clear and compelling way to engage stakeholders and demonstrate the value of nonprofit programs.
Cost: Free for nonprofits serving Osceola County, $55 Members, $110 Non-Members

Instructor: Lauren Josephs
Dr. Lauren Josephs is an award-winning CEO, renowned Social and Behavioral Scientist, and Health Disparities Researcher. She leads Visionary Vanguard Group, Inc., a consulting firm dedicated to addressing health disparities through research, evaluation, and training. A licensed Mental Health Counselor and published author, Dr. Josephs has presented her work at both national and international conferences.
She holds a Bachelor's in English, a Master's and Specialist in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Florida, as well as a PhD in Public Affairs from the University of Central Florida and a Business Analytics certificate from the Wharton School.
Under Dr. Josephs' leadership, Visionary Vanguard Group has secured over eight figures in government grants and contracts. She has also guided numerous women—both within and beyond the Grants and Contracts Incubator—to win millions in funding for their businesses. Her accolades include the 2016 Orange County Public Health Equity Heroes Award, the 2017 Outstanding Alumni Award from UCF's Doctoral Program in Public Affairs, and recognition as a 2024 Women of the Year Honoree by Orlando Magazine.
