Designed to help nonprofits create a seamless connection between their marketing and fundraising strategies. Participants will explore best practices for integrating these efforts to maximize impact, streamline communication, and effectively engage supporters and donors.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand how to align marketing and fundraising strategies to create cohesive campaigns that resonate with both existing and potential donors.
- Identify techniques to begin to integrate storytelling and brand consistency across marketing and fundraising channels for stronger engagement.
- Develop practical methods for coordinating efforts between marketing and development teams to optimize resources and enhance outcomes.

Instructor: Clay Osburne
Clay Osburne has spent his 25-year career in the not-for-profit sector. He has served in executive and leadership positions in education, ministry, and philanthropy, including his current role as an SVP at National Christian Foundation Orlando. Prior to NCF, Clay was the President and Chief Encouragement Officer (CEO) of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida where their team accomplished missional, infrastructure, and financial milestones.
After earning his bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from Auburn University and his master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of West Georgia, he served as a teacher, coach, athletic director, and principal during his education career in Atlanta, Georgia and Birmingham, Alabama. While in Birmingham, Clay served as the Executive Vice President of Administration and Advancement for Scott Dawson Evangelistic Association before joining the Orlando Health Foundation as a Vice President of Development.
He is an instructor with Edyth Bush Institute specializing in fundraising, board governance, and nonprofit management. In May of 2024, Clay graduated with his Executive MBA from Rollins College and the Crummer School of Business.
Clay and his wife, Emily, have been married since July 1, 2000 and have three children (Shuler-16, Easton-14, and Emerson-5). Together, they attend First Baptist Orlando and enjoy traveling, time at the beach, and watching Auburn athletics. Clay loves the relationships built on the golf course and has a goal to play the top one hundred public golf courses in the United States.
