Planned Giving (Virtual)
Thursday, September 4, 2025 (9:15 AM - 12:15 PM) (EDT)
Description
Planned giving can serve as a lifeline to the future of any nonprofit organization, but planned gifts often take more thought and patience than other giving options (for both the donor and the beneficiaries). This workshop will introduce attendees to the various planned giving vehicles that are available today, the donor motivations for interest in one versus the other, and the pros & cons of these options for your organization both in the short-term and longer-term.
Learning objectives:
- Overview of the most common planned giving vehicles
- Basic understanding of the motivations of a planned giving donor
- Fundamental grounding in the tax, regulatory, and ethical implications of planned gifts
- Tips from the field on getting started and improving effectiveness
Cost: $102 Members, $204 Non-Members
*If you are part of either the in-person or virtual 2025 Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership cohort, this workshop may be used to fulfill your Revenue Generation elective requirement.
