By participating in this four-part series nonprofits will learn how to develop sustainable earned income streams while staying mission focused. Participants will create a strategic business plan that will capitalize on their organization’s existing revenue opportunities and their readiness for cultivating earned income streams. Topics include diversifying funding, aligning assets with mission-driven income, evaluating key success factors, and planning for long-term success.

Organizations can register in teams of up to 4 people. Participants who attend all 4 sessions will get the most out of the experience. Participating organizations also have the option of adding on 1-on-1 coaching time with the instructors for an additional fee.

Day #1: Nonprofit is a Tax Status, Not a Business Model

This session explores how nonprofits can unlock earned income potential by identifying and monetizing valuable assets they often already have and without compromising their missions.

Day #2: Exploring Earned Income Possibilities

This session helps organizations identify, assess, and prioritize earned income possibilities that are mission-aligned. From consulting and training to retail, venue rentals, and beyond, participants will explore a range of income-generating options.

Day #3: Ready for Earned Income? 5 Key Characteristics for Success

This session explores the five key factors that will influence your nonprofit’s earned income efforts’ potential —Leadership, Willingness, Readiness, Capacity, and Culture (LWRCC).

Day #4: Business Planning for Nonprofits

This session covers the key elements of business planning, including market analysis, competition, pricing, marketing, and financial projections. Participants will be introduced to a business planning template that can help structure and refine their revenue-generating strategies.

Cost: $400 members, $800 non-members

You may select to add additional 1-on-1 coaching: $1000 members, $1500 non-members

Larry Clark

Michael Oxman
