Your mission matters, now learn how to measure it. In this interactive, three-hour workshop, nonprofit leaders and staff will gain practical tools to track, assess, and improve their organization’s impact. Through hands-on exercises, participants will leave with easy-to-use frameworks that turn day-to-day work into measurable results, helping their teams make informed decisions and continuously improve outcomes.

Learning Objectives: 

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to: 

  • Map your work to results with a simple one-page logic model. 
  • Choose key outcomes to track and create a clear plan for collecting and reviewing the data. 
  • Make a practical data collection plan that covers methods, roles, timing, and quality checks. 
  • Test and improve your work using a short-cycle Plan–Do–Study–Act approach with clear measures and decision points.

Cost: $102 Members, $204 Non-Members

*If you are part of the Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership, this workshop may be used to fulfill your Mission Delivery elective requirement. To receive elective credit for attending a workshop, participants must be present for at least 80% of each workshop meeting date with time spent in attendance measured consecutively.

Instructor: Lauren Josephs

Dr. Lauren Josephs is an award-winning CEO, renowned Social and Behavioral Scientist, and Health Disparities Researcher. She leads Visionary Vanguard Group, Inc., a consulting firm dedicated to addressing health disparities through research, evaluation, and training. A licensed Mental Health Counselor and published author, Dr. Josephs has presented her work at both national and international conferences.

She holds a Bachelor's in English, a Master's and Specialist in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Florida, as well as a PhD in Public Affairs from the University of Central Florida and a Business Analytics certificate from the Wharton School.

Under Dr. Josephs' leadership, Visionary Vanguard Group has secured over eight figures in government grants and contracts. She has also guided numerous women—both within and beyond the Grants and Contracts Incubator—to win millions in funding for their businesses. Her accolades include the 2016 Orange County Public Health Equity Heroes Award, the 2017 Outstanding Alumni Award from UCF's Doctoral Program in Public Affairs, and recognition as a 2024 Women of the Year Honoree by Orlando Magazine.
