The Center for Independent Living of Central Florida (CIL) is seeking passionate, community-minded individuals to join our Board of Directors.

CIL empowers people with disabilities to live independently and fully participate in their communities. Our work spans advocacy, youth transition and employment services, peer support, and critical home modifications that allow individuals to remain safely in their homes. As demand for our services continues to grow, we are committed to building a Board that reflects the diversity, experience, and lived perspectives of the community we serve.

We welcome candidates from a wide range of professional backgrounds, including community leaders, young professionals, and individuals with expertise in areas such as finance, legal, HR, marketing, or development. Individuals with lived disability experience are especially encouraged to apply.

Board Member Expectations Include:

- A two-year term (with a maximum of three terms)

- Attendance at five board meetings per year

- Annual personal contribution of $150

- Participation on either the Development or Governance Committee

Serving on the CIL Board is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact, contribute to a mission-driven organization, and help shape a future without limits for people with disabilities in Central Florida.
