DESCRIPTION:A nonprofit middle manager juggles a mixed bag of expectations\, deliverables\, passion and balance every day. Your best day can feel like the world is your oyster. And those not-so-great days can leave you feeling isolated and/or demoralized. This three-part highly interactive series will challenge nonprofit middle managers to evaluate and/or re-evaluate how they shape\, influence\, and inform up\, down\, and across their organizations. A combination workshop and peer learning group\, this series is designed by former nonprofit middle managers for current nonprofit middle managers.For the best learning experience\, we recommend that participants attend without their direct supervisor. This allows for open discussion\, candid reflections\, and a more engaging workshop experience.Learning Objectives:How and why a nonprofit manager is uniquely positioned to influence their organizational impact\;The combination of mindset and skillset that can help nonprofit middle managers succeed\;Approaches to leading up\, down and across while keeping your organization's goals & mission at the forefront.Cost: $238 Members\, $476 Non-Members*If you are part of the Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership\, this workshop may be used to fulfill your Infrastructure elective requirement. To receive elective credit for attending a workshop\, participants must be present for at least 80% of each workshop meeting date with time spent in attendance measured consecutively.Instructors:Ann HughesAnn Hughes brings more than 25 years of nonprofit management\, fundraising\, marketing/public relations\, strategic planning\, and partnership development experience to her role as the Director of Educational Experiences with the Edyth Bush Institute for Philanthropic and Nonprofit Leadership.Ann was most recently the President & CEO of the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania and had previously served as the Executive Director of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Pennsylvania and in a variety of executive roles with Franklin & Marshall College\, Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania and Catholic Health Initiatives. Ann has a successful track record of leading organizations and helping them exceed operational and fiscal objectives while also cultivating key strategic partners.Ann has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Muhlenberg College in Allentown\, PA and a Master of Science degree in Education from Indiana University in Bloomington\, IN. She is also a Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional. Outside of work\, Ann enjoys road trips\, reading and spending quality time with family and friends.Erin HollidayErin Holliday is the Assistant Director\, Educational Experiences at the Edyth Bush Institute responsible for custom training and education. This includes working with clients to coordinate specialized instruction in the nonprofit sector surrounding areas of board governance\, fundraising\, leadership\, marketing\, volunteer management\, and more. An Orlando native\, Erin has been serving the Central Florida nonprofit sector for many years as both a volunteer and a leader. She is passionate about collaboration\, connection\, creative programming\, and using data to share stories. Above all\, she has a deep devotion to strengthening her community and working across sectors to do so.Erin is a proud graduate of Stetson University holding a BS degree in Biology and a BA degree in Psychology. In her free time\, Erin enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with her family\, friends\, and 3 dogs.
