The Certificate in Leadership Practice is designed for nonprofit professionals who want to become respected leaders in their field. During this leadership immersion experience, you will develop a road map to maximize your potential and help you overcome hindrances to success.


You will engage in four interactive sessions that help you identify and understand your own leadership style. It will challenge you to leverage your personal strengths.

Learning Objectives:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of your own leadership style through self assessment
  • Apply and integrate leadership concepts into a variety of real life situations
  • Understand your emotional intelligence and how to work with others
  • Understand organizational dynamics and the role leaders play at all levels
  • Become a more effective leader within your current, or future leadership positions

Cost: $1,200 for members, $1,850 for nonmembers, inclusive of all training materials and assessments. 

Active participation is expected. The Certificate in Leadership Practice involves the completion of out-of-session reading and assignments. A Certificate will only be awarded to those who complete all of the required assignments and attend all four sessions in their entirety.

Instructor: Jamie Hollis, MA

Jamie Hollis, MA is the founder of North Star Consulting Solutions. With over 20 years of experience in developing and coaching teams and leaders across the nation, Jamie has brought her personalized approach utilizing authenticity and empowerment to local and national companies, universities, hospital systems, higher education, and nonprofit organizations.

Trained as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Jamie holds a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology and is a certified DiSC® trainer. She is trained in Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team® and also holds a Certificate of Coaching from the Association of Talent Development.

Jamie has authored award winning programming and curriculum focused on team development, communication, engagement in the workplace, leadership development, and career transitions. Jamie’s educational background and her years spent developing teams has informed her technique, blending a behavioral mindset with a belief that a value-centered workplace will produce an aligned culture and higher productivity.
