Volunteer Management: Policy and Procedure (In-Person)

Description

This hands-on workshop is designed to help participants strengthen the foundation of their volunteer program by developing clear, consistent policies and procedures. Through discussion, working time, and peer reflection, attendees will explore the core elements of a volunteer manual and begin drafting or refining job descriptions, policies, and procedures.

As a result of this workshop participants will:

  • Identify key components of an effective volunteer manual
  • Develop clear and comprehensive volunteer policies, procedures, and job descriptions aligned with organizational goals and values.
  • Understand how clear volunteer policies and procedures contribute to program consistency and volunteer satisfaction.

Cost: $102 Members, $204 Non-Members

*If you are part of the Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership, this workshop may be used to fulfill your Infrastructure elective requirement. To receive elective credit for attending a workshop, participants must be present for at least 80% of each workshop meeting date with time spent in attendance measured consecutively.

Instructor: Erin Webb

Erin Webb is the Assistant Director, Educational Experiences at the Edyth Bush Institute responsible for custom training and education. This includes working with clients to coordinate specialized instruction in the nonprofit sector surrounding areas of board governance, fundraising, leadership, marketing, volunteer management, and more. An Orlando native, Erin has been serving the Central Florida nonprofit sector for many years as both a volunteer and a leader. She is passionate about collaboration, connection, creative programming, and using data to share stories. Above all, she has a deep devotion to strengthening her community and working across sectors to do so.

Erin is a proud graduate of Stetson University holding a BS degree in Biology and a BA degree in Psychology. In her free time, Erin enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with her family, friends, and 3 dogs.
